Why being stubborn is better than being talented.

I am not the talented one. Never have been. I grew up loving comics, from the funny pages, Archie, Marvel to manga, but it never occurred to me that this could be a career. I liked writing, I liked drawing, but talent wasn't something people associated with me. But I was stubborn.

Being the youngest in my family, I always felt I had something to prove. No matter how much effort I put in, I could never outgrow the bias that came with being the youngest. For years, I was chasing after my siblings, trying to catch up to them. Yet I was so focused on that, I didn't notice when things began to shift, and suddenly, being talented wasn't as important, as being efficient.

I am still not the talented one, but I kept trying, and now, something that could take them multiple days to complete, I can do in a few hours, and that is why I am where I am now.
